Wild Turkeys amok in Boston

Yesterday when I was running through Boston, a wild turkey joined me. Only for about half a block, but he was pretty fast. He eventually ran up some stairs toward an apartment vestibule. I thought it was unusual to see a turkey in the city, but my wife’s co-workers say they’re not uncommon in the park system, something the park rangers confirm. I see some other people recently have spotted turkeys nearby in Brookline.
